After a challenging year, Geri and I were pleased to find that demand was very strong. After our December visits to Santa Rosa and San Francisco, we had only 32 pieces left. This page includes glimpses of my clay preparation processes, as well as slideshows of work in progress and the finished pottery,
These first couple of slideshows offer glimpses of my clay clay preparation processes. I hauled about 500 pounds of kaolin (3 varieties), ball clay, feldspar (2 varieties), grog, quartz, and limestone in late December. I have added another slideshow (see below), of the first 1/3 of my thrown pieces for this session: bowls, vases, and pitchers. I have now finished most of my throwing for this time around. I will add more slideshows to this page every few days. I expect to add more inventory to my online store after February 21.
Photos of finished work from this session, taken on Sunday, 2/21/21, are in the slideshow at the bottom of this page. In the next few days I will take more precise photos of these pieces, and add them to my online store.
