We had an exciting weekend with Ikebana International on June 22 & 23. They were having an exhibition with a little help from several related schools of Japanese flower arranging. Included were Ikenobo, Ohara, Sogetsu, and Ikebana. At 10:00 and 1:00 both Saturday and Sunday, they drew crowds of 50 or so enthusiasts from the local Sacramento neighborhoods, and created dozens of truly inspired flower arrangements.
Below you can see photos of my display in the courtyard outside, most of which I am bringing to the South Bay this weekend. I am also sharing photos of the many flower arrangements they were creating inside, as well as the placards (where available) naming the artists, schools, and titles.
