We were forced to postpone our San Francisco visit until this Sunday, December 18. The horrendous storm on Saturday December 10 caused a lot of flooding, and when it turned to snow early Sunday morning, we had to delay it by one week. We have repaired our raku kiln and have been firing raku since November. The slideshows below show the fired results.
These pieces range in height between about 6" and 15". I actually threw them in April 2021, before the wildfire. They were tucked away in my raku kiln, which was mostly unharmed. These pieces are pristine. I have mixed fresh batches of glaze, experimented and fine-tuned. These firings have been very successful, slideshows of which are included below. There is a video of last night's raku firing, and a slideshow of porcelain highlights this weekend as well.
We will be at the Stonestown Galleria Farmers' Market from 9-1 this Sunday, December 18. For times and directions please visit my market schedule (Click Here).
